ObiBooks Privacy Policy

Collection of Personal Information
ObiBooks collects personal information in a number of circumstances. For example, when you visit ObiBooks, we may collect personal information from you such as name, e-mail address, location, and information required for participation in other interactive online activities. We may collect personal information with your consent or as required or permitted by law.

ObiBooks performs technical functions necessary to offer the Service, including, but not limited to, the technical processing and transmission of email communications to perform email service, and transcoding and/or reformatting Content to allow its use throughout ObiBooks. In addition, you agree and acknowledge that we may send messages including, but not limited to, notifications, reminders, and promotions in connection with ObiBooks.

From time to time, ObiBooks may place a "cookie" on your computer. If you decline acceptance of cookies, however, you may experience less than optimal performance of ObiBooks.

  • The right to complain about how ObiBooks handles your personal information if you feel that your privacy rights have not been respected.

PIPEDA requires ObiBooks to:

  • Provide you with service even if you refuse consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information unless that information is essential to the transaction.

In the event of a disagreement between PIPEDA and the Privacy Policy, the relevant provision of PIPEDA will prevail.
